Your Guide to Attending SPIE Optifab 2023

SPIE Optifab 2023 is the largest optical manufacturing conference and exhibition in North America, and it’s coming up in October. The event showcases the latest optics technology and industry research, making attendance well worth it.

At ABTech, we’re long-time supporters of Optifab—it’s one of our favorite trade shows for meeting directly with clients, would-be clients, and peers.

If you’ve been to this conference before, you’ll know it’s massive. There’s so much to see in just a few days. We’ve compiled this brief guide to attending SPIE Optifab 2023 to help it all make sense.

What is SPIE Optifab?

For anyone in the optical fabrication industry, Optifab is a must-attend. Whether you’re a researcher, designer, project engineer, production manager, or tool builder, Optifab is where you go to learn about technical advancements and make connections.

The conference portion offers research presentations and on-site courses, and the exhibition hosts excellent manufacturers (like us, for example) with a wide range of technologies on display, all supporting optical manufacturing.

Where and When is SPIE Optifab?

In 2023, Rochester, New York, will host Optifab from October 17th to 19th. The conference and exhibition are at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

ABTech’s Precision Motion Booth at Optifab

You can find ABTech at Exhibition Booth 507. We’ll have lots of our equipment on display so you can discover exactly how the technology works. Our precision motion staff will be there to answer questions about our air-bearing equipment and how it adds value to the manufacturing process.

Attending Optifab is especially valuable for the one-on-one conversations we get into about specific challenges. Please see us at booth 507 if you’re simply curious, are currently working to improve a design, or have a result in mind that you’re unsure how to accomplish.

Our specialty is custom precision solutions. We’ll be happy to walk you through our equipment and its capabilities.

Will we see you at SPIE Optifab 2023?

ABTech is excited about this year’s SPIE Optifab in Rochester—we’re looking forward to reconnecting with our clients, meeting new people in the industry, and displaying some of our newest air-bearing tool technology.

Stop by Booth 507 to meet us in person and find out more about how our air-bearing spindles, rotary tables, and linear slides support optical manufacturing.

See you at Optifab!
